Ceci: A few of my favourite things
Cecília (left) is from El Perelló – and she loves it. She gives a local’s insight into what she thinks are the best things to enjoy in this area.
Sometimes I wonder why so many foreign people come to my village. All my life I have lived here and I think there could be more interesting places to go – at least with more interesting things to do.
But yesterday, while I was sitting in the sunshine near the main square drinking a cool beer, I found the answer. We don’t have anything special. It’s a small place, but it’s real. A few minutes away we have the best of the mountains and the best of the sea. So now I want to recommend some activities that are nearby and that are not too expensive.
The spring is here and we can walk or cycle to see the cave paintings at Cabra Feixet (left), visit La Font de Tita, or follow other routes like the GR 92, which runs alongside the sea (pictured top), the most beautiful GR (Grand Route) in Spain.
Of course, I can’t forget the sea, to rest and relax in front of, to swim in and to practise rowing.
And finally, I want to speak about our food. Our bars and restaurants can offer you a wide variety of fresh dishes, all part of the healthy Mediterranean diet. All of them can be accompanied by a good glass of wine from our neighbouring region, Gandesa. And in the summer live music fills our terraces. I invite you to follow Ebre Connect so that you don’t miss any of the activities.
El Perelló is a real place with real life – dare to live it!
