What’s going on around the Terres de l’Ebre – in English

Reader poll: Tell us about your favourite beach

6 years ago News

Summer has arrived and any one with any free time is heading to the coast to soak up the sunshine. But what’s your favourite beach?

We’re lucky that we have an enormous range of beautiful beaches close by – from the breathtaking wild expanses of Platja Eucaliptus on the Delta, to the hidden coves between L’Ametlla and El Perelló.

We’re going to compile a list of our readers’ top five beaches along the coast of Terres de l’Ebre – so please let us know what your favourite is and why. You can comment below this story, send us a message on Facebook or Tweet to us @EbreConnect. Remember, we always want to hear from everyone – young or old, British, Catalan, Belgian, Dutch, etc, etc.

To get you started, here are the Ebre Connect team’s top three:

  • Cap Roig, L’Ampolla: the beautiful soft golden sand and shallow sea makes it perfect for families with young children.
  • Santa Llucia, El Perelló: it’s pebbly, but the water sparkles and it’s the beating heart of the town in mid-summer.
  • L’Arenal, L’Ampolla: a long beach running alongside the Olles lagoon, a great place for walking dogs outside the peak summer season.

FIND OUT MORE: The local tourist offices have maps and details of local beaches. You can also search for more details about many beaches across Catalunya with the website Platges.cat (in Catalan).
